Tim Holtz: 12 tags of 2014 - April

Hi everyone,

Un mes más, vuelvo con mi interpretación del tag propuesto por Tim Holtz. Tengo que decir que en cuanto vi el tag de Tim me encanto: los colores, la composición, sus nuevos troqueles "frameworks "...

Another month and I bring my interpretation of Tim Holtz's tag. I must say that when I first saw it, I fell in love with Tim's tag: the colours, the composition, the new "frameworks" dies...

Este es el tag de Tim Holtz (precioso, verdad?)

He seguido las técnicas que Tim ha utilizado porque todo en este tag me ha gustado: 

- el fondo creado con washi tape y Distress paint y envejecido con Distress ink;

- Los adornos con sus nuevos troqueles frameworks. Me parecen maravillosos... No he podido conseguir el que él ha utilizado y he usado el del panal de abeja que considero que puede dar mucho juego. Jugando con él, he recreado el bloque tradicional de patchwork del jardín de la abuela ( grandmother's flower garden).  Que os parece? En cualquier caso, me quiero hacer con toda la colección porque creo que los voy a sacar mucho jugo...

- Y, por último las flores realizadas con el troquel del Tattered pinecone, que es muy versátil porque te permite crear unas maravillosas flores y en las decoraciones invernales piñas como las que utilicé para decorar mi Shabby Christmas box.

I have used the same techniques as Tim because I completely adore this tag:

- the background created with washi tape, Distress paints and Distress ink to achieve a vintage look;

- the embellishments, using his new frameworks dies. They are awesome... I have not been able to get the one Tim has used and instead I have used the honeycomb one which in my opinion is very versatile. I have recreated the traditional patchwork block "Grandmother's flower garden". What do you think? Anyway, I have decided I want all the frameworks dies as I am sure I will use them a lot...

- And last but not least, the flowers made with the  Tattered pinecone die. I adore this die because you can either make marvellous flowers or pinecones for winter deco. See the ones I used in my Shabby Christmas box

Un tag especial

Hola!

Y después del cumple blog, otro cumpleaños muy especial: la persona más importante en mi vida cumplió el sábado 14 años!! Me cuesta creer que el tiempo haya pasado tan rápido y que mi niño se haya convertido en un adolescente con una personalidad arrolladora. Pero así es la vida: el tiempo vuela y es importante aprovechar cada minuto.

Last Saturday, the most important person in my life became 14 years old!! Hard to believe how time flies: my little boy has become a teenager with an amazing personality. But that's life and it is important to enjoy every minute

Y para felicitarle por su cumpleaños, un tag con aire juvenil y un poco grunge. A destacar los sellos de méli-mélo studio. Como veréis en el tag, son preciosos y estampan de maravilla. Una gran adquisición! Seguro que me haré con alguno más.

And here you have the tag  I made to congratulate him. I intended to create a young and "grunge" look. I have used some stamps by méli-mélo studio. As you will see, they are really nice and the stamping is great. For sure, I will try to get more!!

Hoy exactamente hace 1 año que publiqué mi primer post en este blog! Lo creé con mucha ilusión aunque sin tener muy claro si sería capaz de mantenerlo y darle contenidos. Y... ya ha pasado un año y aquí estoy. Sigo con la misma ilusión y con ganas de mantenerlo vivo porque se ha convertido en una parte de mi.

A year ago I started up this blog!! Even though I did not know whether I would be able to find contents and make it run, I was really excited to create my blog. And, now...one year has gone and here I am, still so thrilled to make it live as it has become a part of me.

No me quiero alargar mucho porque como decía Gracián "Lo bueno si breve, dos veces bueno". Pero sí voy a aprovechar esta entrada para hacer algo que tenía pendiente: la revista digital Scrap n' Art seleccionó mi LO Choco Addict para su número de abril. Super contenta con mi primera publicación.
