Tim Holtz - 12 tags of 2015 - March

El mes de marzo, Tim Holtz nos propone un tag lleno de colorido y texturas con técnicas que nos ayudan a crear volúmenes y contrastes con colores brillantes. Me encanta el nuevo sello de la mariposa que Tim ha utilizado pero aún no lo tengo así que he utilizado uno que aún no había usado y me gusta mucho por su aire vintage. Espero que os guste mi interpretación. Hasta muy pronto!

In March, Tim Holtz proposes a tag full of colour and textures using techniques which help us to create volumes and contrasts with bright colours. I adore Tim's butterfly stamp but I do not have it yet. Therefore, I have used another stamp I very much like because of its vintage flair. I hope you like my interpretation. See you soon! Xoxo

Version Scrap - Défi N 3

Tercera semana y tercer reto para Version Scrap: realizar cualquier tipo de trabajo de scrap con fotos tipo Polaroid y con un combo de color definido: turquesa, amarillo y gris.

Third week and third challenge for Version Scrap: scrap at least four Polaroid style photos with a specific colour combo: turquoise, yellow and grey.

Para este reto he realizado un album inspirándome, una vez más, en Paris. Las fotos son tomadas de Pinterest pero las he editado con la aplicación de Ronna Designs y las he convertido en formato Polaroid, Como soporte he elegido una tela de lino para las tapas y papel de acuarela en el que he creado todos los fondos con técnicas de mixed media.

For this challenge, I have made an album, once more, inspired in Paris. I have taken the photos from Pinterest but have made an edition with Ronna Designs application and have converted them into a Polaroid format. For the construction I have used linen for the covers and watercolour paper for the pages in which I have created my own mixed media backgrounds.

Version Scrap - Défi N 2

Segundo reto propuesto para "bloggers" por Version Scrap: en este caso, se trata de "scrapear" en 3D. Colores amarillo y negro con tolerancia para el blanco. 

The new challenge for bloggers proposed by Version Scrap consists of scrap in 3D. Compulsory colours are black and yellow. White is tolerated. 

Para este reto, me he inspirado en la luz que emite el faro de la Torre Eiffel y el calificativo de París como "Ciudad de la luz" y he creado una luminaria con el troquel de Sizzix tratando de recrear la apariencia de un farol antiguo con reflejos negro y bronce. Las pequeñas ventanas embosadas en seco con imágenes de la Torre Eiffel y con la palabra París. Las palabras Version Scrap con un abecedario en negro. Como únicos adornos unas flores metálicas pintadas en amarillo y el número 15 que corresponde a la edición de la feria de este año. 

For this challenge, I took as inspiration the Eiffel Tower phare light and the fact that Paris is known as "the City of light". Having this as starting point, I have made a luminary with the Sizzix die trying to recreate the appearance of an old lantern with reflects in black and bronze. The small windows have been embossed with images of the Eiffel Tower and the name of the city. The words Version Scrap using an alphabet in black. As embellishments, just some flowers in metal painted in yellow and the number 15 which corresponds to the exhibition edition of this year.

Version Scrap - Défi N 1

¿Conocéis Version Scrap? Es una feria internacional de scrap que se celebra en Francia. Tiene dos ediciones: una en primavera en París y otra en otoño en Lyon. Y, este año iré a la feria de París del 10 al 12 de abril!!! Ay que ganas... Esta será la primera vez que participe pero me apetece mucho porque reúne un buen número de expositores y tiene una oferta de talleres muy interesante. Os he puesto el enlace por si queréis echar un vistazo. 

Do you know Version Scrap? It's an international scrapbook fair in France. There are two editions each year: one in spring in Paris and another one in fall in Lyon. And, this year, I have planned to assist to the Paris edition from April 10 to 12!!!! I'm so excited about that... It will be the first time I will participate but I'm looking forward to it because interesting exhibitors will attend and they offer quite many good workshops. You can find the link above. 

Como actividades pre-feria, han abierto un espacio para l@s "bloggers" en el que proponen un desafío semanal. Esta semana han propuesto el Primer Desafío bajo el título RETROSPECTIVA. Se trata de mostrar las ediciones en las que has participado e ilustrarlo en un trabajo de Scrap.

As a pre-exhibition activities, they have opened a bloggers section, in which a weekly challenge is proposed. This week, the First Challenge has been published under the title "RETROSPECTIVE". The idea behind is showing the fair editions in which you have participated through a scrap work. 

Como esta es mi primera vez, he elegido hacer un LO en el que he querido mostrar la ilusión que tengo por asistir al evento. He editado una foto con imágenes de París y con el cartel de la feria. Espero que os guste!!! 

As this is my first time, I have decided to make a LO in which I wished to show how excited I am for participating in the event. I have edited a photo with several views of Paris and have integrated the show banner. Hope you like it!!! Xoxo

Tim Holtz - 12 tags of 2015 - February

Y Febrero, gracias a San Valentín, es el mes del amor. Y ya lo tenemos ahí mismo!. El tag de febrero de Tim Holtz, está evidentemente dedicado a esta celebración. Se trata de un tag construido a partir de un collage y al que le ha dado una apariencia shabby conseguida con acrílica blanca (Distress Paint en color Picket Fence). El toque de color? Un corazón rojo brillante que crea un contraste que a mi personalmente me ha gustado mucho.

Esta es mi interpretación. Espero que os guste! Feliz San Valentín!!!

And February is the month of love because of Saint Valentine. And it is just around the corner! Tim Holtz's February tag is obviously dedicated to this celebration. The background is built with a collage with a shabby look created with white paint (Picket Fence Distress Paint). The coulour touch is achieved with a vibrant red heart which creates a nice contrast I adore.

DLP 2015: Coffe with friends?

Una semana más y un nuevo reto para el DLP 2015 (y sigo retrasada...). Esta vez el reto artístico es Escribir y el tema: Palabras con amigos. A mi lo de escribir siempre me ha dado pánico porque no me gusta mi letra y siempre tengo la sensación de que acabaré estropeando la página, pero como este año he decidido tirarme a la piscina... pues al ataque!! Otra cosa que me apetecía un montón hacer era dibujar mi propio lettering y, ni corta ni perezosa, busqué inspiración en Pinterest y me puse a ello.

Another week and here I am with a new challenge for DLP 2015 (and still late...). This time, the artistic challenge is Writting and the Prompt: Words with friends. I have always been scared of writting because I have an awful handwritting and I feel I will spoil my page. But, this year I have decided to try new things and... here I go!!

Para la realización, base de gesso clear y decoupage del motivo de tazas de una servilleta. Dibujé las letras y apliqué color con Gelatos en turquesa y con las Twinkling H2O que hacía tiempo que las tenía y aún no las había probado. Unos toques de gesso blanco para unificar y un rato jugando con los rotuladores para finalizar las letras del título y los bordes. Una buena dosis de valor y escritura sobre las tazas (con ideas que me venían a la cabeza) y alrededor del borde en el que copié parte de la letra de la canción "Friends will be friends" de Queen.

I primed my page with clear gesso and then applied the cups with decoupage. I drew the letters with a pencil and coloured the page with Gelatos and Twinkling H2O. Some touches of white gesso to unify the page and some good time playing with my black and white markers on the letters and the border. Some handwritting on the cups and around the border where I copied part of the letter of Queen's song "Friends will be friends".

Espero que os guste el resultado final. Para no abusar, a partir de ahora no haré un post semanal sino uno mensual con mis últimas páginas. Muy pronto estoy de vuelta con mi tag de febrero!

DLP 2015 Third challenge

Un nuevo reto y aunque llevo una semana de retraso, sigo super motivada.  Me estoy permitiendo experimentar, probar materiales, buscar nuevas formas de expresión... Un gustazo!. El reto artístico es la rueda de color. El tema de inspiración una frase de Georgia O'Keeffe: "I found I could say things with colour and shapes that I couldn't say any other way..." (Encontré que podía decir cosas con formas y colores que no podría decir de ninguna otra forma..)

A new challenge and I keep on so motivated even though I am a week behind. I am daring to experiment, try new materials and look for new ways of expressing myself... The artistic challenge for the third week is the colour wheel. The journal prompt a sentence by Georgia O'Keeffe:  "I found I could say things with colour and shapes that I couldn't say any other way..."

He preparado la página con una capa de gesso transparente (que me estoy aficionando un montón!) y he estampado unos sellos cuadrados de Prima creando un patrón. Sobre el mismo, he aplicado el color con ceras acuarelables Neocolor. Unos toques de gesso blanco, unos sellos y letras para el journaling y voilá!! Espero que os guste!

I have primed the page with clear gesso (I am really hooked on it!) and have created a pattern with some Prima stamps. I have  applied colour with my Neocolours. Some touches with white gesso and a few stamps and letters for the journaling and voilá!! I hope you like it! Xoxo
