Como pasa el tiempo! Parece que fue ayer cuando hice el tag del mes de febrero y ya estamos acabando marzo... Fiel al compromiso que he adquirido este año, os presento mi interpretación del tag propuesto por Tim Holtz. 

Time flies! It seems it was yesterday when I made my tag for February and now March is about to finish... Faithful to the commitment I made for this year, here you have my interpretation of Tim Holt's tag for March.

He seguido su misma técnica de "smudge stamping" con la que estampas un imagen con una definición más nítida y realizas una segunda estampación más difuminada. He hecho los dos tags en paralelo porque me parecían interesantes los resultados. 

I have followed "smudge stamping" Tim's technique: there is a first stamping with a more clear definition and a more subtle second one. I have made the two tags in parallel as I found the outcome very interesting.

Os dejo otra foto más detallada en la que podréis apreciar como he adornado la cinta (crinkle ribbon) del tag con el stencil. Es una manera fácil y resultona de personalizar nuestros adornos.

Celebrate Life!

 Hello:

Celebrate Life! es el título de mi último layout. Con él quiero expresar muchas cosas: celebrar la vida que es un gran regalo y celebrarlo con todas las personas que quiero: familia, amigos, etc. He querido utilizar colores muy vitales, muy primaverales al mismo tiempo para que esta celebración sea una explosión de color. Además la primavera es la época del año en la que todo renace, así que todo está bien alineado. Con el mismo sentido, flores y más flores y unos relojes que me ayudan a recordar que es importante disfrutar de cada minuto porque cada momento de nuestra vida es motivo de celebración. 

Celebrate Life! is the title of mi new layout. I want to express many things: celebrate life which is a big, big present and make this celebration with all the people I love: my family, friends, etc. I have used vibrant colours, characteristic of spring so that this celebration is a colour explosion. Moreover, spring is the season of the year when everything is reborn. Everything is then aligned. With the same idea, flowers and more flowers and some clocks to remind me that it is important enjoying each and every minute of our life because even the smallest instants have something to celebrate. 

La foto tiene un significado muy especial para mí porque me recuerda buenos momentos vividos con mis compañeros de trabajo. Llevo un tiempo con problemas de salud y ellos, junto con mi familia y amigos, están siendo un gran apoyo. Esta es mi forma de darles las GRACIAS. 

The photo I have used has a very special meaning for me as it reminds me of very good moments lived with my job colleagues. I am suffering some health problems lately and they, together with my family and friends, are being a great support. This is my way of saying THANK YOU.

Mixed Media Place challenge: Sadness

La propuesta de este mes de Mixed Media Place para el challenge "What are you feeling?" es la Tristeza.

Mixed Media Place proposal for the challenge"What are you feeling?" , this month is Sadness.

No me ha resultado nada fácil dar con la forma de reflejar este sentimiento... Para buscar inspiración, recurrí a mi estimado Pinterest y encontré una frase que fue el punto de partida de este trabajo: "La vida es como un piano. Las teclas blancas representan la felicidad y las negras la tristeza. Pero a medida que avance la vida comprenderás que las teclas negras también crean música". Me ha encantado esta visión positiva y el símil con el piano que es mi instrumento.

Difficult indeed to reflect this feeling. I visited my dear Pinterest looking for inspiration and found the sentence on which I have based my page: "Life's like a piano. The white keys representing happinness, and the black keys representing the sadness in between. But as life goes on, you'll realize that the black keys make music, too". I've really liked this positive vision and the comparison with the piano, which is my instrument.
